Corrected Links: Timing Meet Registration, Gear Pickup, and Critical Volunteer Needs
Ilda Clippers Families,
Here are a few important updates and deadlines as we gear up for the season!
1. T-Shirt and Swim Cap Pickup If you ordered T-shirts and/or swim caps during registration, they will be available for pickup periodically this week in the pavilion. Please look for Kristyn Vinet, as I am currently out of town until Monday (6/8).
2. Timing Meet Registration (Deadline: June 10th at 9 PM) Registration for our timing meet next Saturday, June 13th, is now open for both swimmers and volunteers. Please complete your registration via SwimTopia no later than 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10th.

Please note that we will not be reaching out to individual swimmers or parents to ask if they plan to register. If your swimmer would like to participate, you must sign them up using the link above. If you need a refresher on how to sign up, the instructions were covered during our parent meeting. You can review the slides here:
3. Critical Volunteer Shortages At this time, we have not received any concrete interest in our open key volunteer positions. As discussed at the parent meeting, activities this season will be quite limited if we do not get motivated parents to step into these roles.
We urgently need to fill the following positions:
- Co-Team Rep(s): We ideally need two people to work with me to execute this season and prepare to take over the role next year. Note: If we have not identified a new team rep before the end of the season, I will need to start working with the NVSL on contingency plans.
- Chief Timer in Training: Shadow and learn what the Chief Timer does so you are ready to take over the role next year.
- Meet Setup Coordinator: Supervise getting the pool deck ready for our home competitions so our deck volunteers don't have to. This is a fantastic position for someone who wants to do their part but also wants to be able to enjoy the swim meets as a spectator. We really need someone to step up for this!
- End-of-Season Banquet Coordinator: Plan our final celebration... otherwise, we will just be ordering pizza.
- Swim-a-Thon Coordinator: Organize one of our favorite mid-season events.
- Team Breakfast Coordinator: Plan and execute 2 or 3 fun team breakfast events throughout the summer.
Our team relies entirely on parent involvement to function, and we need your help to make this a great summer for the kids. Please let me know if you are willing to take on one of these roles!
You can reply directly to this email if you have any questions or concerns!
-Andy
